Common Name: Midginberry, Midyim
Availabilty: In Stock
The gorgeous Midginberry is an attractive evergreen Australian native with densely packed branches of dark green foliage with new growth in pink tones. A small to medium shrub growing between 500 - 1 metre tall, she is covered in masses of small white flowers in early summer, followed by small sweet-tasting berries through late summer and early autumn that are attractive to local birdlife.
Highly adaptable and versatile, plant out the Midginberry as an attractive border, rockery plant or container plant, or even trim as a low-growing hedge. When planted en masse in a row, just wait for spring flowering for this pretty little native to put on a show, encouraging bees and birdlife! Hardy once established, she benefits from mulching during summer and a gentle trim after the flowering and fruiting season.
Moderately frost & wind tolerant. Most soils. Can somewhat adapt to a damp base. Full sun to part shade.
We apologise but this variety is not available to South Australia due to quarantine restrictions.
You are buying beautiful, happy, sun-hardened (excepting indoor varieties) tubestock with root systems. Tubestock is the youngest plant you can buy, which keeps it affordable (so you can buy more plants *wink*). Please note our infographic included in every plant listing for an indication of sizing. Pictures are examples only, and your stock may be larger or smaller than what is shown.
