The Begonia Rex is a gorgeous multi-coloured mounding perennial with fleshy, textured leaves in a gorgeous array of tones from bright green to deep burgundy. Originating from the tropical forests of India and known as the ‘King of Begonias’ this versatile beauty is known for its air-purifying properties.

Growing approximately 500mm tall and 500 mm wide, the Begonia Rex is an ideal indoor or outdoor gardening addition. (If utilising indoors, keep in mind this variety is toxic to both people and pets). Add to mixed beds, borders, rock gardens or for stunning indoor colour. These pretties thrive in humidity, and prefers part sun/part shade or bright, indirect sunlight – the foliage can suffer in harsh, direct sunlight.

For best result give these beauties some space for air circulation, and apply a slow release fertiliser in spring to encourage the brightest foliage. Whilst low care, we recommend moderate watering in warmer months, and reduced watering in winter
