Common Name: Beach Tamarind, Tuckeroo
Availabilty: Out of Stock ENQUIRE NOW
The stunning Beach Tamarind is a smaller deciduous tree that is an Aussie native. Her dark green, leathery leaves combined with her thick growth habit means that she is a great haven of shade in the summer. A moderate grower, tiny white and cream bush flowers appear in spring, while orange-yellow fruit during summer is highly attractive to birdlife. And like any good Aussie native, she is hardy to most elements and very tough; this low maintenance girl is also resistant to bugs and disease.
Growing 8 - 15 metres tall, this beautiful, rounded shade tree is gorgeous utilised as a feature, street tree, a screen or a windbreak. Having non-invasive roots, she can be planted a little closer to buildings than other trees her size. Don't forget, she is also quite tolerant of salt spray, so ideal for coastal areas.
Tolerant of drought, salt & frost. Prefers well drained soils; but tolerant to virtually anything, even clay. Full sun.
