The Honey Myrtle is a gorgeous evergreen medium sized native shrub with dense and bushy growth; bearing clusters of purple-pink feathery toothbrush flowers through summer and autumn (even up to 8 months of the year in temperate locations). As with all Melaleucas, this beauty is hardy and tough to most elements.
Growing 1- 1.5 m high and 1.5 m wide. Ideal for screening, hedging, native landscaping, coastal planting, rockeries. The small leaf and dense growth makes it perfect as a low growing hedge. This popular Melaleuca variety is often chosen for it's frequent flowers and low care requirements, and have we mentioned that bees love this gorgeous Aussie native? He is a slightly larger cousin of Cotton Candy.
Salt tolerant, frost tolerant, drought tolerant. Adapts to damp soils. Appreciates aged mulch for best result. Prune after flowering to foster compact growth habit. Full sun to part shade
